Energy performance in buildings is a core subject that has been addressed both from an academic point of view as well as from an implementation point of view. Several individual projects have been carried out by students under supervision across the years to reduce end-use energy demand in diverse buildings such as scholls, dwellings and offices. More recently, a 40-family social housing project is being undertaken for deep renovation to near-zero energy levels.
